Why Easter is a great time to visit Scilly…

Locally sourced eggs from Scilly
Eggs from our lovely supplier, Parting Carn farm, St Mary's...

Scilly is fantastic in all seasons but there is something very special about the spring and the reawakening of the islands in preparation for the season. The Scillonian returns to St Mary’s in March. Boats are freshly painted and put back into the water and day by day the harbour at St Mary’s fills up with multi coloured boats. Businesses that shut during the winter months reopen and a sense of anticipation and an air of excitement fill the air!

The season on Scilly starts with the Walk Scilly event running between 3rd and 12th April which features 40 walks and boat trips to 9 islands , all led by experienced guides and knowledgeable locals. There are wildlife walks, walks focusing on history, beach walks and garden walks and even a dark skies walk featuring a trip to the new observatory on St Martin’s. More information can be found here.

At Crebinick, we open our doors to guests on 5th April and we still have some availability for the Easter school holidays. We are expecting the Easter bunny to pay us a visit and there are rumours of an Easter egg hunt! For those guests that prefer their eggs to be the non-chocolate variety, fear not, you’ll have the choice of chocolate or chicken eggs with your Easter breakfast!
